This has just been built and I have only tested some of the functionality but everything works great for me thus far. It is a custom Rom for 2012 versions of the Nexus 7 based on Cyanogenmod 11 (Android 4.4.2), a custom kernel modified to allow otg y-cable charging and a few fun usb tricks, chroot of KaliPwn ( ) that is modified with extra drivers for some additional cards and some other mods done, and a few hacking apps thrown in for good measure. The installation process was just a bit too cumbersome and I knew I could simplify it for everyone.Įnter Naughty Nexus! I know it is a horrible name but all the good ones are already taken. The software allowed me to do wireless hacking and pretty much anything else you can do with Kali Linux. Going through the process took quite a bit of time but the results were exactly as expected. There is even a guide to install the same software on a rooted Nexus 7 (thanks blinkybear). After some trial and error I ran across something called the Pwn Pad by Pwnie Express ( ). That plan was thrown out the window when I realized that drastically limited what I wanted to accomplish. Initially my plan was to write some apps for hacking different things without having to root a device. The reason I like this idea more than using a portable hot spot or modified wifi access point is because it can do the exact same thing and then some. Recently, I attended Shmoocon and I was talking with quite a few different people in regards to hacking from a tablet, more specifically, wireless hacking from a tablet.
